r3dfox v146.0.0 - Firefox Translations add-on don't works.
(This add-on is broken also with Firefox Portable).

The 'Firefox Translations' add-on ver. 1.3.4 build id 20230720.091143 (September 7, 2024) don't works in r3dfox Portable.

So I suggest You a workaround:
1. in r3dfox Settings - Translations: uncheck 'Enable fullpage translations'
2. restart r3dfox
3. remove Firefox Translations add-on (optional)
4. add the add-on TWP - Translate Web Pages at https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/traduzir-paginas-web/?utm_so...
5. done

Note:
The 'TWP - Translate Web Pages' add-on uses Google Translation engine.

qBittorrent Portable – Include Python for Search Feature

I want to raise a concern and suggest an improvement regarding qBittorrent Portable:

When using the Search feature in qBittorrent Portable, the app tries to install Python on the host system.

This behavior breaks PortableApps’ own guidelines, because the app modifies the host system rather than being fully self-contained.

According to the Portable App Guidelines, a portable app:

“doesn’t require additional software on the PC”
“is self-contained in a single directory”

Proposal / Request

Please include a portable version of Python inside the qBittorrent Portable package.
By bundling a Python interpreter (e.g., the embeddable or portable build) within the app folder, the Search feature would work without installing anything on the host machine.
This would make qBittorrent Portable fully compliant with the PortableApps standard.

Why This Matters

Improves usability: Users who want to use Search wouldn’t need to install Python manually.
Maintains portability: The app remains “plug-and-play,” without modifying host systems.
Aligns with PortableApps values: Adhering to the official guidelines increases trust and consistency.

Thank you very much for considering this request. I believe it would be a valuable improvement for many users.

The downloaded copy of Opera GX is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete.

Either the upload to the server(s) failed, or the hash is incorrect.

How to import Site information from non portableapps Filezilla Client installation?

I have already a non-portableapps Filezilla client installation on my Win10 system but want to switch to portable apps Filezilla Client.
After download and extraction of pa version I imported previous FZ settings (from existing FZ installation).
The only file import offered was "filezilla.xml"

It worked only partially..

The layout was adjusted to the old FZ.

But the site manager information (shown in leftmost toolbar symbol) was NOT imported.
Existing site list is empty

Whats wrong?

How can I import really ALL stuff from previous FZ Client?

Chrome won't open since latest update

Hello,

I just updated chrome (update from 2025-10-08) and now when I try to launch it it just wont open (nothing happens)

Is it just me or others having this issue?

What can I do? Can I roll back? I have passwords, extensiuons and multiple users so would rather not have to reinstall from scratch

chrome portable cannot load extensions

Hello John, after upgrading chrome portable from 139.x to 140.x, all my extensions fail to load. I tried repairing it on the extension page but did not work. I tried reinstalling it and get the following error: Download error: Could not load javascript 'nscl/lib/browser-polyfill.js' for script. Any help is appreciated. I have downgraded back to 139.x for now and all the extensions loads properly.

Chrome portable, not truly portable?

l am using my bank's website, and each time l click remember me, it doesn't remember me and requires me to go through stringent verification. This probably means that chrome, and other portable browsers are deleting my cookies and other history. lf it's portable, why can't l continue where l left off, even if on different computers? lf it's truly portable, shouldn't everything move along with me?

Unable to access transmission web interface

Whenever I try to access, I get this error
404: Not Found
Couldn't find Transmission's web interface files!

Users: to tell Transmission where to look, set the TRANSMISSION_WEB_HOME environment variable to the folder where the web interface's index.html is located.

Package Builders: to set a custom default at compile time, #define PACKAGE_DATA_DIR in libtransmission/platform.c or tweak tr_getClutchDir() by hand.
Any help is greatly appreciated

The custom code for which version to run, sse or non-sse, seem incorrect.
Based on the discussion here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/164
and the release note of v68.13.8b (https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/releases?page=2)
SSE means computer older than Pentiom4 (Pentiom3 or AthlonXP).

It look like sse version is for pc only has sse1 and the version without the word sse is for newer pc that has atleast sse2.

I am in a need of some older portable versions of google chrome, but after downloading the installer and running it, it fails with an error 404 when trying to download.

I'm trying to update Supermium to version R5 via the PA platform but after downloading the update and verifying it I get an error message: "The downloaded copy of Supermium is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete.". I have tried it twice but with the same result. Any idea what's wrong?

Chrome all data gone

Chrome has essentially reverted to a fresh install.

I opened it yesterday to find that all my extensions had been removed, session gone and this

Afterwards, I updated thru the platform. The error message is gone, but data loss remains. Still asking for a passphrase. I assume all previous setting changes have been reversed as well.
