Task Coach has been moved to GitHub where it has been actively developed for a while.

[Fixed] HomeBank Portable – "lastopenedfiles" not updated by PAL

Hello John T. Haller (@JohnTHaller) and the PortableApps Community

I noticed that PortableApps.com Launcher updates most paths of HomeBank correctly to the portable environment. However, the file:

\Data\HomeBankConfig\lastopenedfiles

still contains absolute paths from the original system and is not updated by PAL. This causes HomeBank to try opening files from the old locations when it starts.

It would be great if PAL could also update this file (or provide an option to do so), so HomeBank Portable remains fully portable without manual intervention.

Thank you very much for considering this request. I believe it would be a valuable improvement for many users.

Jarte not working in Wine 10.0 on Ubuntu Jammy

My apps are up to date, so this is the latest version of JartePortable on PortableAppsPlatform 30.1. It starts but just shows and empty window with lines on both sides and a scrollbar.

When you click it or try to use the scrollbar it crashes.

I have tried different versions of wine with the same result. I have also deleted my wine prefix and reinstalled Jarte.

This program is basically a skin over wordpad.exe.. I do see a wordpad.exe in /Program Files/Windows NT/Accessories . This is where it would be if it were Windows, but I wonder if perhaps you changed the programming to accommodate this change in Windows 11, I am aware that Windows 11 no longer includes WordPad by default. https://www.windowslatest.com/2024/10/02/windows-11-24h2-deletes-wordpad...

You can make a Portable Installation once it's installed on your system and then un-install the original, but would be great to have PAF for this?

Joplin 3.3.9 won't start after upgrading

The app is present in Task Manager List but nothing happens. I can't access all my works!

Update: I try also with a new fresh installation, but with the same result, app won't start.

PDF Arranger Portable 1.11.1 - doesn't work on Windows 7

The latest version of PDF Arranger (1.11.1) doesn't work with Windows 7. The last version to work with Windows 7 is 1.10.0. I believe it is worth adding to the PortableApps collection as a legacy version.

Calibre Portable 7.23.0

Outdated App: Calibre Portable 7.19 (PortableApps.com)
The outdated application page indicates 7.22 is being worked on.
However, 7.23.0 has been released (https://calibre-ebook.com/download_portable)

PortableApps.com is fantastic and does a great job of keeping apps current. So,
I was just wondering why Calibre is so far behind. Calibre is a great app that is used by
many to manage and read their ebook collection.

Libre Office and open office not opening on Windows 10

have installed Libre Office and Still portable apps and open office but apps will not open on Windows 10
"The application was unable to start correctly OxcOOOOO7b click Ok to close the application

Kanri dropped support for Windows 7

The latest version of Kanri doesn't work on Windows 7 x64. I get an error message on startup:
"AutoDrum requires Windows 8.0 64-bit or later. This PC is running Windows 7 32-bit, so AutoDrum can not be be started."

Joplin - please update - not synchronizing anymore

Hi,

Joplin Portable is version 2.14.22, but there is a more recent version (v3.0.14).
The problem is the version 2.x doesn't synchronize anymore with Android application and requires a version 3 program to sync.

"Error: In order to synchronise, please upgrade your application to version 3.0.0+"

PS: It seems version v2.14.23 can sync. Unfortunately, Portable version is lower than this one.
