I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've noticed when visiting a specific website neowin.net while using Firefox portable that there are three random .parc files that get written to the root directory of my drive. Is this something new, normal etc?
These are related to your GPU drivers. Firefox doesn't create them and doesn't put them there. Any browser when rendering GPU-accelerated stuff could result in the GPU drivers creating them. You can safely delete them if you want. You'll probably find more in %LOCALAPPDATA%\AMD\DxcCache

Thanks for the response, thats the same information I've gathered through Google. I just found it to be a bit odd that these files started showing up recently when I've been using portable apps since Sandisk and their U3 drives, which they eventually phased out and I've started using your platform as a replacement. My system does have an AMD CPU, I wonder if i activate the dedicated GPU (RTX 3060) will it stop these .parc files from cluttering my drive.
You could give it a try and report back for posterity. I'm sure someone will find this topic in a few years and get an answer they're seeking
Is it your portable drive or the C drive?

Ran from a flash drive.
